GIPLC Celebrates 19th Annual Christmas/End-of-Year Party for 2000 orphans,widows and vulnerable children supported by Taleveras(Dicken Sanomi Foundation)

On Sunday, December 8th, 2024, the Global Initiative for Peace, Love & Care (GIPLC) hosted its 19th annual Christmas/End-of-Year Party, bringing together over 2,000 orphans for a day of celebration and support.

The event witnessed a remarkable outpouring of generosity. Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman (BLPARW) made a significant contribution by providing an educational grant to support the education of 10 students for the next five years. Recognizing the importance of education, BLPARW also sponsored the distribution of exercise books to all children present, fostering a love for learning and encouraging academic excellence. Cheques were presented to the 10 recipients of the 2024 GIPLC PRIME-ED (Primary Education) Scholarship during the event.

In addition to these , Her Excellency Aisha Babangida, Chairperson of BLPARW, has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to giving back to the community. Notably, she has donated funds for the surgeries of 50 Nigerian children, providing them with a second chance at a healthy and fulfilling life.

Moreover, Her Excellency Aisha Babangida has partnered with GIPLC to renovate a Mosque at Mpape Abuja FCT, which provides accommodation for over 300 almajirin children. This initiative underscores her dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable populations and promoting community development.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the GIPLC 2024 Heart of Gold Award to Her Excellency Aisha Babangida, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to humanity and community development.

“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with GIPLC and make a positive impact on the lives of African youth,” said Her Excellency Aisha Babangida. “This collaboration embodies the spirit of compassion, generosity, and community development.

At the party also, Dickens Sanomi Foundation (DSF) donated ₦5m to children in critical health conditions (with cheques presented to beneficiaries). There was an unanimous donation of ₦12m made for a child’s heart surgery.

After the Cheque Presentation, the Orphans prayed for H.E. Hajiya Aisha Babangida, Mr Igho Sanomi, GIPLC, and all the donors that have been touching their lives so far.
