Questions and Answers
1: What does this award meant to you Sir?
This award means a lot to me because it shows that our work is not in vain, and that we are making impacts in the lives of the most vulnerable children and women in Nigeria and beyond. I am therefore more encouraged to stay focused on my lifetime commitment to charity.
Also just recently, I was notified by the Abuja Federal Capital Authorities that I had been nominated for a Street to be named after me in recognition of our charity work in Nigeria. I humbly accepted it, and on Thursday, 22nd August, the Street Sign: NUHU F. KWAJAFA CLOSE, in Kado, Abuja FCT will be unveiled in the presence of a couple of my friends, family and well wishers.
2: Are there programmes lined up to reach out to the vulnerable Nigerians considering the mood of the nation (National Hunger)?
Yes, we have a couple of programs to do with healthcare that will be kicking off on Friday, 23th of August. Medical bills of over 28 children across Nigeria worth N50m will be paid courtesy of Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation(AAF) which GIPLC just signed an MOU/partnership.
3: If there’s any, when will that begin?
23rd of August 2024
4: This award didn’t come on a platter of gold, tell us your contribution that made you one of the recipient? Thank sir.
As you know, I have been in Charity work for close to two decades now, and by the Grace of God, our work has not gone unnoticed. Just last year the Federal Government of Nigeria conferred on me a National Honors Award, Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), and it triggered quite a lot of attention across board, so I was contacted by the conveners of the Humanitarian Gold Awards who notified me that I had been nominated anonymously for the Humanitarian Personality of the Year 2024 Award. I acknowledged and accepted the normination, hence my presence here today to humbly accept it. I sincerely dedicate it to all my NGO partners, well wishers, supporters, my family, and all the children and women that have so far been a part of our long charity journey so far. To God be all the glory.
